Wear Pucks for Racing Splitters

Price is per puck.

Wear Pucks that mounted to the bottom of splitters on race cars to prevent damage and wear to the splitter itself.

These pucks are laser cut from 4130 Chromoly and are 1/4" thick.  They have two CNC tapped holes that are 5/16-18 threaded.

These were developed over many years of Time Attack racing in New England, which included driving on the streets with full aero.  Street driving was actual more abusive to the splitter and by splitter #3 I had figured out the formula.  

Started with Titanium, but was getting black flagged due to the sparks.  Earlier versions were thicker and more robust material such as AR500 (plow blade material).  However, the material cannot be tapped cost-effectively which meant I was welding studs into pucks or nut and bolting.  Nut and bolting means that the puck can fall off when excessively worn.

This is why these are thinner and made of 4130.  These are consumables so cost-effectiveness, ease of replacement, and minimal damage potential to the more costly components were the key design criteria.
